Monday February 28, 2011
Outside my window: It appears to be sunny but I have no idea what the temperature is or is supposed to be.
From the learning room: My internal education planning timer has gone off and I am starting to hyperventalate aobut planning for next year and cleaning out the school closet. We are no where close to being finished for this year and most likely will run a couple subjects through the summer. English being the primary one. However, a lot of used curriculum begins to show up about now and if you want the good deals, you have to know what you are looking for:)
From the kitchen:
Friday: ordered pizza
Saturday: left overs
Sunday: hamburgers and italian potatoes on the grill
Monday: small group dinner cancelled
Tuesday: tex mex dinner
Wednesday: chili
Thursday: hashbrown casserole

What I wore today: My loosest waist band skirt and a t shirt. A direct correpsonsdence to how I am feeling today!
I am praying: for our adoptions and the little baby we are caring for. For all the illnesses in our family. For other families doing foster care and the journey's they are on. For our Pastor and wife as they care for their father during illness.
I am reading: or rather hoping to be reading Managers of their Home. I ordered it last week and am expecting it any day now.
I am hearing: toddler one riding his bike through the house. Toddler two singing the abc song while brushing her teeth with the appropriate trickle of water. A tv show as our son is laying sick on the couch.
Two of my favorite things (people! )
Dear son playing basketball for a local Christian school. The season has just finished. He had never played basketball before but it did not take him long to catch on and he had a great attitude about it.
A friend took this picture of our daughter. Its a beautiful picture and a beautiful young woman!

A few plans for the rest of the week: We are continuing in survival mode. In the last two months 4 out of 5 children have had croup. 4 out of 5 children were diagnosed with walking pneumonia. Two children with ear infections. Two children with flu. One with bronchial irritation. Mr. and I have escaped all of this for the most part although Mr. has teetered on the edge of getting sick and although I feel tired (more to do with dealing with ill children and a new born)I have been mostly spared up to this point. However, yesterday I developed a lovely case of larengitis which is making anything above a whisper impossible. We are doing what things we can and trying to avoid spreading anything to friends and family. We all feel a little stir crazy!
