Outside My Window: The stars are shinning and the moon is full. There is not a cloud insite.
I Am Thinking: about how many things I need to do tomorrow! We went camping over the weekend and now I am having to play catch up on laundry and household chores.
I Am Thankful: for the blessing of good friends!
From The Kitchen: True Confessions. I wish I could tell you that there was something wonderful produced in my kitchen today but alas our family ate fast food for dinner. GASP!
I am wearing: my pj's and ready for bed.
I am creating: A lesson plan for the next two months coop unit study class. Today we made books about the state of Iowa. Next week we will begin making a lap book on America and its Neighbors.
I am Reading: Several beautiful fall coffee table books. I just recently have gained an appreciation of coffee table books. I have been picking up four new ones every week from the library and have enjoyed sitting down and paging through them when I have the opportunity to sit for a few seconds.
I am hoping: to process our grapes and apples this week. They are ripe and ready for harvest. A friend tried out a recipe for me last week and I had the opportunity to taste it this weekend. I think it will be great! The recipe calls for the filling to be frozen but I am going to can it. Freezer space is a commodity at our house!
I am hearing: silence. Everyone else in my house is gratefully asleep in their beds.
Around the house: Fall is everywhere. I purchase two yellow mum plants for the front porch, hung out the fall leaves wreaths and put several fall decorations around the house. The candles have been changed to warm scents like carmel pecan.
A few plans for the rest of the week: We will be meeting with our supervising teacher for the first time this school year. My son has his second week of piano lessons, fitness class, football practise and football games. My daughter has her small group and gymnastics. Our oldest daughter is off to Wisonsion for a theater event.
About the photo: This is a picture of my daughters first library card. She recieved the card when she was able to write her full name by herself. I vividly recall the day that she got that card. It was a proud moment for her and for me and she has carried it with her for the past almost nine years. Last week at the library they took the card and gave her a new one. They would not let us keep the card and they shredded it so we took a photo to remember the card by.
