Outside My window: A fog advisory that will hopefully clear up before I need to leave the house!
From the learning room: We had a wonderful trip to Dubuque. We stopped by Indian Creek Nature Center for lunch intending to just picnic but the facility there was interactive and we ending up spending several hours there exploring. There was a pine cone sand box complete with shovels and buckets. An area with logs of varying sizes to build like blocks. There were chess boards, tic tac toe boards and hopscotch made of concrete on the ground. We followed the nature trail around and every so often we would come to an area for the kids to play. There was a bolder climbing area, a wood climbing area, interactive nature art, a wigwam, a bird watching station and more. It was so much fun. We then went on to Dubuque where we spent one day at The National Mississippi River museum. I have wanted to visit it for years so this was great! It was well worth the trip!

What I wore today: black and white checkered skirt with a white t shirt
I am praying: for our extended family. Mr.'s uncle passed away this morning. Since my last post we have also found out that the babies' parents have had their rights terminated. We are now in the appeal process which could take up to Christmas. Praying for patience as we continue through the process.
I am reading; I picked up a bundle of Taste of Home magazines at the local right to life book sale and have been perusing those.
I am hearing: The radio, the washer and the dryer. I started this blog at 7:30 this morning and am now wearing different clothes, am cleaning up supper instead of breakfast and ready for bed!
One of my favorite things: The Shark - steam cleaning mop! I love this thing. I can't explain it but the floors stay cleaner longer and do not get sticky like they used to. The only down side is also a positive: a very long cord!
A few plans for the rest of the week: football, football, and oh did I mention football. It seems to have taken over. Then of course there is art class, harp lesson, piano lesson, school work, housework, the speech pathologist, and the apples. It is that time of year. Pie filling and applesauce ahead!
