Outside my window large fluffy snowflakes are falling. We received five inches of snow Friday night. Today we are supposed to receive another three inches but then are expecting a blizzard with 50 mile an hour wind gust this evening. Right now the view from my window is beautiful.
I am thinking about my grocery list which is continuing to grow larger everytime I open the refrigerator. I also just received a text message from mdod who is requesting a grocery restocking trip before she heads back to school.
I am thankful for big woolly socks! My feet are so cold!
From the learning room; Our coop was cancelled today because of the weather. We are all at a loss as to what we are going to do with ourselves and a free day. My son has headed up to the local sledding hill. My daughter is anxious for some free time to work on her calender and check her email. When I mentioned getting some extra school work in it, everyone groaned. I guess we will take the day off!
From the kitchen: Today is crock pot chicken and rice. I will put a nice salad with it and for dessert we will finish up the apple crisp that I made yesterday with a little bit of ice cream on the side.
I am wearing; my black and white skirt, black turtleneck sweater, black tights.
I am creating my daughters four year high school plan.
I am going to hopefully venture out later for small group. Since we did not venture out for coop earlier today my husband is going to have to grab a few things for me on his way home from work.
I am reading The short Life and Long Time of Mrs. Beeton and Household Wisdom.
I am praying for dear friends who just received their referral for a baby girl from China! She is 3 1/2 years old and looks like a little doll. What a beautiful edition to an already beautiful family!
I am hearing my dmd reading her science lesson.
Around the house; For Christmas my husband made me a picture shelf for above our couch and bought me a series of photo frames to sit on it. Then he made me two smaller shelves of the same design as extras. I am still wondering around the house trying to decide where to hang the two smaller shelves. I think I have decided but I may have missed my window of opportunity to get them hung!
One of my favorite things is my morning cup of coffee.
Plans for the rest of the week: Small group tonight, Pastoral team meal tomorrow, piano and fitness class for dys, swimming at the Y on Thursday and my oldest daughter returns to school for her last semester on Sunday! I have so enjoyed her being home this last month. We will miss her.
