August 16th 2010 on August 17th

Outside my window: it has been raining and overcast all day. The temperatures are down and for that we are all thankful. The high temperatures definitely showed up in my electric bill this last month!

From the learning room: School started for us on Monday. Most of our activities do not begin until September with one exception. We decided that DYS would play football for a local Christian school. They start practice next week. We had originally planned on playing home school football but it was flag football and the idea of tackle ball was pretty exciting.

Sunday - grilled chicken breast, sweet corn, salad, and beans

Monday -Spaghetti, salad, garlic bread

Tuesday - Quesidillas

Wednesday - panini's

Thursday - french toast

What I wore today

I am praying - for our school year.

I am reading - several cookbooks that I picked up at the library. Lots of new recipes to try out!

I am hearing - The Spy Next Door. My kids convinced me to stay up and watch this ridiculous movie. They are laughing hysterically. It is right up their ally.

One of my favorite things - watching my kids have fun.

A few plans for the rest of the week - school, school and school. Cleat shopping for DYS, sports physical and a much looked forward to dinner with friends.
