Simple Woman's Daybook

Monday August 31, 2009

Outside My window the sun is shining and it should be a beautiful fall day. I know its the end of August but it feels like fall! The weather has been so cool.

I am thinking about Psalm 101:2 "I will behave wisely in a perfect way. Oh when will you come to me. I will walk within my house with a perfect heart. "

I am thankful for the encouragement of my husband and his faith in me to complete the tasks and job that God has given me to do each day.

From the learning room; Things are moving along. All activities begin next week and entire schedule will shift. I need to have a better plan for what work is expected on what days based on activities. Kids seem to be excited about the things we are doing this year.

From the kitchen;

F- girls only pizza party

S - girls only we made grill cheese

S- Mr. surprised us with dinner at Godfathers

M - grilling shoulder tips and sweet corn with a garden salad

T - chicken paremseon bundles with grilled italian potatoes and salad

W - sub sandwiches and chips

T - bacon and cheese crustless quiche

I am wearing a maroon skirt with tan leaves and a tan t shirt. It was so cool this morning at one point I had slipped a sweetshirt over the top.

I am going to be at home.

I am praying for a friends daughter who had a terrible biking accident on Friday. They will be doing oral surgery today and seeing other specialist. Also for a woman I know through bible studies who was taken to the emergency room last night with a heart attack. They admitted her and are running tests today to determine the damage and necessary treatment.

I am reading The Diary of a Provinical Woman. Throughoughly enjoyable reading.

I am hearing a symphony of household noices. Baby neice playing, middle neiece on computer, math questions, history reading, older neices toast toasting. Ding.

Around the house; The garden has been cleaned out. We have onions drying and are processing buckets of peppers. I am hoping that the tomatoes that are left on the vine will ripen but this cool weather is not helping things.

A few plans for the rest of the week; We have a dog show this week so no school Thursday or Friday as we will be helping there.

One of my favorite things is moss. These are the steps outside of the patio off of our bedroom. Our garden walkway also has a nice area of moss.
