Monday Feb. 9, 2009

Outside my window we are expecting thunderstorms today with lots of rain. That should wash all the icky salt and sand away. The temperature is supposed to be almost 60. What a nice reprieve from winter.

I am thinking about how people make my *** tired! Its not very nice to say but its where I am at today!

I am thankful for my husband who loves and supports me even when I make a mistake.

From the learning room; We are deep into our research reports on Constantine The Great. Both children choose the same topic and yet their reports are as distinct as their personalities.

From the kitchen;

T - chicken casserole

W - dinner out for small group

Th - quesidillas

Fr - Pizza

Sat - left overs

Sun - crock pot lasagna

M - small group dinner at a friends home

I am wearing - a navy blue skirt with small blue petals embellishing it, topped off with a matching blue t shirt.

I am creating - play dough pies with my nieces

I am going - to coop and then small group tonight

I am reading - Psalm 73 today

I am praying for my grandmother who has come down with shingles.

I am hearing my daughter read her science lesson out loud to me.

Around the house - My husband is at a trade show this week so I will be doing double duty on running the kids around and keeping up with activities.

One of my favorite things - see the above picture for one of my ferns and the bird cage that I purchased at an antique store. We painted the bird cage black to match our other cage and our home. The fern came in a tiny pot two years ago and has grown into a monster.

A few plans for the rest of the week - I really need to sit down with seed catalogues and organize my thoughts on our garden for this year. I wanted to expand our garden but instead I am ending up with a much smaller space as we bought an above ground pool for the kids and the only place to put it was where we had planted all of our tomatoes last year. The sunniest part of the our property is actually our front entry yard which is not the best place for a garden. I also want to begin using only non gmo seeds and collecting my own seeds for replanting. I have a lot to learn about this!
